Q: Let me guess…you're in Chicago at the International Floral Expo showthat you mentioned a few weeks ago.
A: You got it! It was great to be back. I’m really proud of the team and all theirextra effort. Shows are quite a process and a lot of work.
Q: What’s the process like? A: About five months before the show we decide on the theme of our boothand start working on the backdrop. Then we meet with our farm teamto order the seeds and schedule the plantings for the items we want toshow. This year we decided not to try to go against Mother Natureand just grow and show Summer 2019.
Q: Then what happens?
A: Designs are made, sleeves are paired up, booth schematic is arranged, trucks are scheduled, travel arrangements are made, client meetings arescheduled, client dinners are arranged, trade show gear is ordered (got to lovethe sunflower Converse… right?) and a few other things I probably forgot.
Q: Anything else?
A: Well, I would be remiss if I didn’t mention the fact that the team “at home”covers for us and keeps everything running smoothly, while we are away. It’s a great team effort for sure.
Q: Do you have pictures of the booth and all?
A: I thought you’d never ask!
And so, it begins.
Flowers and booth arriving.
Putting down the floor.
Soooo much better.
Getting ready to connect with old and new friends and clients.
Welcome to the show and our booth.
We are here to help.
Who has the best sneakers?
Time to tear it all down and head home.
